I would like to start off by saying thank you to whoever created daylight savings. My daughter (who’s 16 months) went to sleep at 11pm last night, so thank you for messing it all up!
As I start my blog complaining about the time change, I’m going to talk about something that we all do “BITCH” ;). I apologize for the choice of word, but it’s true and I can’t sugar coat it. We all do it, and sometimes were on such a high that we forget negativity is only going to attract more negativity. Law of attraction – Google it!
Before anyone misunderstands me, I just want to say I’m not talking about standing up for a cause or fighting for your rights (that’s totally different). I’m talking about shit like; the line-up is to long for coffee, so much traffic, ughh work, why is she so skinny, why is she so fat, why can’t I be rich, blah blah blah. Sometimes it’s harmless but at others times it gets out of hand. For example when someone gets mad or furious because they waited 5 mins longer in the drive thru. Or take their angry out on their family members because they had a shitty day at work. Seriously? I’m sure something will happen today that will piss us off or annoy us, it’s inevitable. But are we going to take every little concern or complaint to the battle field?
Gary Vanyerchuk (Google him) he talks about the chances of becoming a human are 400 trillion to 1. I bet you didn’t know that. Now think about it, do you want to spend your life bitching and complaining about little pity shit? Does it really MATTER? Or do you want to acknowledge you had a crappy moment, sort it out in a proper manner and move on? It’s easier to complain and dwell on the situations because it’s actually that much harder to take action and change those thought and feelings.
I’m not saying I’m perfect, but if you know me you know I’m one of those individuals looking at things on the brighter side. Sometimes that back fires because I’m too nice :). But you know what I’m not about to throw my life or day away because my Starbucks order was messed up. Things will always go wrong, that’s LIFE. But we all need to just focus on what is going right at the moment. Be grateful for everything you’ve got, because it could ACTUALLY be worse. Also the biggest factor in life is our ACTIONS. If you want to change something in your life, DO IT, don’t just sit their bitching about it for days, months, or even years! No one wants to hear it.
So next time you’re angry or furious because you got stuck in traffic or someone cut you off, don’t look at what they did look at your reactions. Leave the negativity to the ones that “thrive” off of it. Let them waste their energy being unhappy and miserable, because they’re missing out on the FACT that what a blessing it is be a human and be living on this planet.
